Diagnostic Engineering Solutions starts in 2010 as a Spin Off Company of Politecnico di Bari, aiming at  the industrialization of  the results of almost twenty years of research and  test carried out in the Laboratory of  Structural Diagnostics and Thermal Methods for  Experimental Mechanics.

 

Core business

Planning and realizing advanced diagnostic systems for the structural analysis of components and  monitoring processes. The proposed solutions find application in  standard hardware and software products, and in customized systems for non destructive controls, the optimization and the monitoring of process.

 

DES develops systems for the processing, analysis, monitoring, enhancement and maintenance of structures, products, plants, processes and services  in aeronautics industry, by numeric-experimental methods and – in particular – Thermography, Ultrasounds, Eddy Currents, LPI, Magnetoscopic Testing.

The attention is focused on thermal methods, used both in structural diagnostics, for the analysis of mechanical components in composite, plastic or metallic material, and for  stress analysis.

DES is Official Partner of FLIR, worldwide leader in the production  of infrared cameras, for the Science/R&D applications business line.

DES personnel is certified II° and III°level EN-473/ISO 9712, ASN SNT-TC1 A, PED approvation in TT and in the other Non-Destructive Testing: MT, UT, PT, VT, ST.
