DES is a Spin-off of the Politecnico di Bari, specialized in experimental mechanics and structural diagnostics.
The mission is the technology transfer of innovative solutions for structural diagnostics from University to Industry, through the use of non-destructive methods.
DES develops innovative technologies used to integrate instruments already in existence on the market by improving research results. DES designs and implements NDT systems including customized data acquisition and processing for maintenance and monitoring of structures, plants, components, processes and services in several industrial sectors and civil engineering. Particularly, DES is focussed on thermal methods, for structural diagnostics and stress analysis of mechanical components in different material (composite, plastic or metal).
DES designs and sells customized systems for the evaluation of structural integrity of real components in working condition, together with dedicated software for simple, fast and safe NDT.
The offer includes integrated systems, dedicated hardware and software, custom-designed, service and consulting.
